When the order book is full, the machine is the constraint.

Bigger bed, double the power. Built for shops where the laser runs all day and stopping it costs more than owning it.

This is a throughput purchase
If you’re reading this page you probably already own a laser, or you’ve outgrown one.
The question at 12 kW isn’t whether fiber cutting works. You know it works. The question is whether the machine can absorb your Q1 order book without you turning work away, subbing it out at someone else’s margin, or running a Saturday shift to catch up.
Against the 6 kW machine, two things change on paper: the laser power doubles and the price steps up. How much more you cut per shift depends on your material and your mix — so we don’t publish a speed multiplier here. We settle that on your parts. What the extra power and the bigger bed buy you:
Twice the laser power
12 kW against 6 kW is the difference this configuration is built around — more laser power on tap, plus the 6′ × 12′ bed to put it to work. What that buys on your specific material and thickness, we prove with a cut rather than a claim.
Throughput, proven on your part
Send us a representative part — or cut it yourself at our Lumby demo showroom — and see the cycle time on this machine before you commit. That answers the speed question better than any figure we could print.
Headroom
The capacity to say yes to a contract that would currently break your schedule.
Performance Review
We measure results, track KPIs, and adapt strategies. Outcome: impact you can quantify.
A 6′ × 12′ bed also means you’re buying standard oversize plate without a second setup or a weld seam where the customer can see it.
Where 12 kW is the wrong answer
If you’re cutting mostly thin sheet on a single shift, 12 kW is more machine than your work requires and the 6 kW at $205,000 will do the job with $45,000 left in your account.
See the 6 kW · 5′×10′ →
Match the machine to the work. When the volume is genuinely there — thick plate, mixed materials, a bed that stays full — 12 kW earns its price. When it isn’t, the 6 kW is the smarter buy, and we’ll tell you so.

What’s included — and what the discount didn’t touch

This is the part Bodor and Trumpf don’t put on the table: published CAD pricing, 48-hour on-site service across Western Canada, spare parts stocked in Lumby BC, a 2-year warranty, a 24/7 Canadian hotline staffed by people who know the machine, and a Lumby demo showroom where you cut your own material before you buy. At this price point the support package isn’t a bonus — it’s the product. A 12 kW machine that isn’t running is the most expensive object in your building.

The proof you should demand

It’s a better basis for a $250,000 decision than any spec table — cut time, edge quality and tolerance, measured on your own part.
Send us your worst part.
Not your easiest one. The thick plate with the tight tolerance, or the stainless where the edge finish gets rejected. We’ll cut it on a 12 kW and ship it back with the parameters we used — or you run it yourself at our Lumby demo showroom. That’s how we settle the throughput question: on your material, not in a spec line.

How the deadline works The deadline is on the quote, not the purchase.

Written quote by September 30, 2026 → $250,000 held for 90 days → delivery on your schedule.

September order = Q1 production. December = Q2, at $312,500.
If your capital approval runs on a board or a bank timeline, the locked quote is the document that lets you take the decision to them without the price moving underneath you. Ask for it now even if the decision is months out — that costs you nothing and protects $62,500.
Objections, answered straight
“We’re mid-way through capital planning for next year.”
That’s the normal case, and it’s exactly why the deadline is on the quote. Lock the price in September, present it to the board in November, order in December if it’s approved.
“How do I know a 12 kW from a newer brand keeps up with an established one?”
You don’t, from a website. Send us the part. Then compare the edge, the tolerance and the cycle time against the machine you’re benchmarking. That’s the only comparison that survives contact with the shop floor.
“What’s your service response when it’s down and I’m running three shifts?”
48-hour on-site across Western Canada, 24/7 phone with engineers who know the machine, and a year of spares held in Lumby. Ask us what our current parts-on-hand list looks like — we’ll send it.
“Is the 20% coming out of the build quality?”
No. Same machine, same inclusions — the only thing different is the price, and it’s held in writing through September 30, 2026.
“We need a bigger bed than 6′ × 12′.”
We configure up to 12′ × 60′. That’s outside the promotional configurations, but tell us the sheet size and we’ll quote it.
