Can the Vantix HPM cut weld-prep bevels?

The full answer

Yes. The HPM cutting head, a BLT442P with an AB-axis, bevels continuously through plus or minus 45 degrees. It produces straight cuts, V-cuts, Y-cuts and finished weld-joint preparation, with integrated auto-focus and zoom.

Cutting the bevel in the same setup removes the secondary grinding station entirely. In most structural shops that station is the constraint the weld team waits on, not the cutting itself, so removing it changes throughput more than a faster cutting speed would.
