Fiber laser cutting has no cutting consumables in the plasma sense, no electrodes, nozzles or swirl rings burning through every one to three hours of arc time. Ongoing maintenance is protective lens covers, assist gas nozzles and periodic optics cleaning, along with normal motion-system upkeep on the linear guides and servo drives.
